Nambour mechanic doing coolant replacement radiator repairs sunshine coast

Testimonials

WOW I bought my car in for a Quote on a clutch after I had a service at the local Nambour dealer I bought the car from and was told I need a clutch kit and the parts are not covered in our warranty. Bill was going to be $1600 on top of a $400 service on a Suzuki Alto. I took the car to Jose St and not only did I get good advice but he looked at the Alto and adjusted the clutch for free so it works without grinding the gears.

Excellent service turned up unannounced when my A/C packed up although they were busy they took the time to have a look and fixed it for me at no charge as it was a simple fix. They have won me and I will not need to look any further for a trustworthy mechanic.

Simply the BEST mechanics we have been to. Honest, timely & they gave me a full comprehensive report so I knew exactly what was happening with the car & they gave me a 10% seniors discount!

I had my brake pads done and they work great – no problems at all. Young guy was very friendly and dropped me at work and picked me up when the car was ready. Another chap went through every item on the invoice and explained what they did and why (they quoted first). Very good service.

Excellent guys and excellent old school service. Wouldn’t take my car anywhere else. Have even moved away and still take my car back there to be serviced. They are so very obliging, they keep you informed the whole way and will go out of their way to assist. You couldn’t ask for better mechanics.

These guys are awesome. So nice and friendly and the best thing of all they don’t rip you off and charge you for repairs that weren’t needed or necessary. Quick and easy to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone especially if you want things explained properly. Very pleased.

Coolant Replacement & Radiator Repairs Sunshine Coast

The purpose of the cooling system is to transfer the heat produced by combustion in the engine to the atmosphere and maintain an engine temperature of typically 90 degrees centigrade. A cooling system relies on being 100% full of coolant meaning the slightest leak can be critical. A fault with any component in a cooling system could result in serious vehicle engine damage and therefore should be dealt with urgently as engine overhauling costs thousands.

Cooling systems are subject to corrosion and electrolysis, processes that commonly cause severe leaks through component degradation. These are commonly the main radiator killers.

Rubber cooling system hoses are commonly affected by engine oil from leaking gaskets. Oil soaked hoses deteriorate, go soft and burst without warning. To keep a cooling system in good condition the glycol and coolant concentrations need to be maintained at a high level and when weak, flushed through and replaced.

When mixed, different brands of coolant react chemically with each other and create a bi-product that blocks radiators and hinders thermostat operation. “Coolants should never be mixed”. When changing coolant, the system should be thoroughly flushed through beforehand. If a cooling system needs topping up, it should be done with only water until the vehicle fault is repaired at our Nambour auto service centre.

In conclusion, it is best to have your vehicle cooling system regularly monitored, maintained and flushed when required through a general car service carried out by our auto mechanics.

Coolant replacement is a high priority car maintenance service. Without regular car servicing you may well find yourself eventually having to fork out for costly radiator repairs. The Sunshine Coast mechanics at Nambour Car Service can ensure it doesn’t have to come to that.

If you think it’s about time you had a skilled mechanic give your vehicle the once over to find out if you need coolant replacement or radiator repairs, give our Sunshine Coast car mechanics a call today.
